I’ve been a practicing psychologist for more than 20 years. My offices are in Midtown Manhattan and Southern Westchester County. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults, but initially trained as a child psychologist. Over the last 10 years I have also seen many middle aged and mature adults as most of my referrals come from the people I’ve worked with over the years—and they’ve all grown up. The segments of my training are important to those I work with because my practice is strongly influenced by development across the lifespan.

I generally work with bright individuals who are engaged with life but also unsatisfied with an important aspect of it. Many suffer from anxiety or depression. Others are unsatisfied with the quality of their intimate relationships. It's common to experience confusion or indecision at life's transition points--becoming an adult, progressing professionally, having a serious relationship, starting a family, etc.  Therapy can be helpful and often life changing with any of these problems.

I generally meet with people once or twice a week. This regularity, the fact that

you will sometimes come to your appointment even if you don't feel like talking, helps us reach your goals.   I have a youthful and professional practice. My clients are busy and often on-the-move.  I am fairly flexible about changes in your schedule. I will sometimes have video sessions in order to

sustain our work during geographic separations or difficult, busy times.
